We had our first edition of the Mattias Hargin x The Mountain Studio Freeride Camp. Three adventure days with a great crew exploring the mountains around Engelberg, with a relaxing, well-deserved rest in between at the partnering Ski Lodge Engelberg.The Mountain Studio ambassador Mattias Hargin and friends, in the big mountain haven of Engelberg, Switzerland, invited a great crew of enthusiastic skiers to join for a three-day adventure.

Engelberg is a mythical place in the ski world, loved and cherished by freeride skiers and snowboarders from all over the world. Located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the mountains here receive some of the biggest annual snowfalls in Europe every winter. At the heart of the lift system lies the mighty Mt. Titlis, which offers almost endless possibilities for freeriding with its easily accessible terrain and up to 2,000 meters of vertical drop.At the center of the local ski culture sits Ski Lodge Engelberg, the Swedish-owned hotel where most of the world's freeriding elite stop by at least once every winter. The bustling hotel bar is where people gather for après drinks after a big powder day and share their adventures.

This weekend was designed for relatively experienced freeride skiers who felt comfortable outside of the groomed slopes and in the backcountry. The team had a great time, learned a lot, and had to adjust to challenging and changing weather conditions.
