 Marcel Hirscher probably doesn’t need a presentation to most skiers, but let us make a short one any way. His athletic prowess and technical finesse on the snow have secured his position as one of the sport's all-time greats. With a career that boasts 67 wins on the World Cup and eight consecutive World Cup overall titles from 2012 to 2019, Hirscher's dominance in both the slalom and giant slalom disciplines was unparalleled during his competitive years.

Hirscher is a five-time Austrian Sports Personality of the Year and was once named “Champion of Champions” by French sports newspaper L’Equipe, joining sporting greats such as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Usain Bolt and Lionel Messi to have been honored.

Marcel is not only an outstanding ski racer – he is an outstanding skier on, or off, any piste. He is also famous for his relentless pursuit of perfection –with his personal training and preparation, but also with his equipment.

 At the age of 30 he decided to quit his active career and pursue other activities in life and one of his first ventures was to co-found The Mountain Studio. As a founding partner he is actively taking part in the development and testing of all our garments. He is also, together with the design team, responsible for the design and development of a couple of special MH garments.

He has also founded his own brand of skis; Van Deer. Here there is a mutual collaboration as The Mountain Studio makes all the clothing for the Van Deer World Cup racing crew, and Van Deer and The Mountain Studio have developed a special The Mountain Studio All-mountain ski.
